How to read the XRP liquidation heatmap
Every bar is a price level where a large amount of leveraged XRP positions would be liquidated. The longer the bar, the more money sits there.
- Green bars above price are short liquidations. If XRP rises into them, shorts are forced to buy – that can push the price up faster.
- Red bars below price are long liquidations. If XRP falls into them, longs are forced to sell – that can accelerate a drop.
- The gold line is the current XRP price.
Why traders watch liquidation magnets
Large liquidation clusters attract price because they hold a lot of liquidity. Once a cluster is hit, the forced orders can cause a quick spike or wick – after that the level is usually "used up". Many traders use the nearest big cluster above and below as short-term targets and as zones where volatility can jump.
