Immutable (IMX) liquidations explained
Immutable (IMX) is a gaming and metaverse token. Because IMX futures have thinner liquidity than the majors, a single liquidation cluster can decide the next big move.
How to read the IMX liquidation heatmap
Every bar is a price level where a large amount of leveraged IMX positions would be liquidated. The longer the bar, the more money sits there.
- Green bars above price are IMX short liquidations. If Immutable rises into them, shorts are forced to buy – that can push the price up faster.
- Red bars below price are IMX long liquidations. If Immutable falls into them, longs are forced to sell – that can accelerate a drop.
- The gold line is the current IMX price.
Why traders watch IMX liquidation magnets
Large liquidation clusters attract price because they hold a lot of liquidity. Once a IMX cluster is hit, the forced orders can cause a quick spike or wick – after that the level is usually "used up". Many traders use the nearest big cluster above and below as short-term targets and as zones where volatility can jump.
FAQ
What is a Immutable liquidation heatmap?
It shows the price levels where many leveraged IMX futures positions would be force-closed. Short liquidations sit above the IMX price, long liquidations below it. The bigger the bar, the more positions are stacked there.
Where are the biggest IMX liquidations right now?
The heatmap on this page updates every minute. The two cards on the right show the nearest large IMX liquidation cluster above the price (shorts) and below it (longs), with their distance and estimated size.
Why do liquidation levels act like magnets?
When price reaches a large cluster, forced buying (shorts) or forced selling (longs) kicks in and can accelerate the move. Traders watch these levels as likely targets and as zones of higher volatility.
How is this heatmap calculated?
MMTC Pulse estimates IMX liquidation clusters from Binance Futures price candles and open-interest changes over the last 21 days, combined with common leverage levels. It is a model estimate, not the exchange's real order book.
Can I get an alert when IMX gets close to a liquidation level?
Yes. The free MMTC Pulse iPhone app sends a push notification when IMX gets within 0.8 % of a liquidation magnet and when a magnet gets hit – no account needed.
