EOS (EOS) liquidations explained
EOS is a layer-1 blockchain, and EOS perpetual futures are traded with high leverage on every major exchange. When EOS moves fast, stacked liquidations often turn a normal move into a sharp spike or wick.
How to read the EOS liquidation heatmap
Every bar is a price level where a large amount of leveraged EOS positions would be liquidated. The longer the bar, the more money sits there.
- Green bars above price are EOS short liquidations. If EOS rises into them, shorts are forced to buy – that can push the price up faster.
- Red bars below price are EOS long liquidations. If EOS falls into them, longs are forced to sell – that can accelerate a drop.
- The gold line is the current EOS price.
Why traders watch EOS liquidation magnets
Large liquidation clusters attract price because they hold a lot of liquidity. Once a EOS cluster is hit, the forced orders can cause a quick spike or wick – after that the level is usually "used up". Many traders use the nearest big cluster above and below as short-term targets and as zones where volatility can jump.
FAQ
What is a EOS liquidation heatmap?
It shows the price levels where many leveraged EOS futures positions would be force-closed. Short liquidations sit above the EOS price, long liquidations below it. The bigger the bar, the more positions are stacked there.
Where are the biggest EOS liquidations right now?
The heatmap on this page updates every minute. The two cards on the right show the nearest large EOS liquidation cluster above the price (shorts) and below it (longs), with their distance and estimated size.
Why do liquidation levels act like magnets?
When price reaches a large cluster, forced buying (shorts) or forced selling (longs) kicks in and can accelerate the move. Traders watch these levels as likely targets and as zones of higher volatility.
How is this heatmap calculated?
MMTC Pulse estimates EOS liquidation clusters from Binance Futures price candles and open-interest changes over the last 21 days, combined with common leverage levels. It is a model estimate, not the exchange's real order book.
Can I get an alert when EOS gets close to a liquidation level?
Yes. The free MMTC Pulse iPhone app sends a push notification when EOS gets within 0.8 % of a liquidation magnet and when a magnet gets hit – no account needed.
